2019/2024
Materials: found objects, bicycle tyres, stainless steal plates, wood case, printing equipment (linolium cutting tools, letter stamps, etc), gelatine, glycerine.
Gelatinografo is a portable non-electrical printing equipment and a portable library that fits in a backpack. The Gelatinografo when unfolding take the shape of a gelatin plate that works with the hectograph printing technique. Hectography is a low-tech way of printing that allow us to print with few materials and without electricity. We use it to print on location for example to invite neighbors through flyers and posters, draw together, make maps for our itineraries and make content for publications. You can find all the prints made with the Gelatinografo in the Bibliotek.
From the same backpack of the Gelatinografo unfolds an Herbarium and a portable library.
If you want to make your own gelatine plate you can find the recipe and the instructions for printing in the following zine.
